Move kong-font and Tong-Shin-font to HangulTalk system using DA mover .. Start system picker to choose hangulTalk and restart. ... You may read Read Me by Nisus, using your Editor. In the upper-right corner, you will see flag mark (TaeKuK) or diamond. Using "clover + space bar", set the mark to diamond. For editing, I use only "Gothic 12" font because Hangul and English can be toggled with "Cap-Lock key". To type big character of English, use "clover + space bar" while "Cap-Lock key" is down. TeleTalk As for Teletalk, you can use any communication application to connect to mainframe and just quit the application without hangup, then start TeleTalk. Make sure you have TongShin font in your system. setting of TeleTalk is initializing command: atv1e1g0 Port: modem port or printer port baud rate: depends on system Parity rate: None data bit: 8 stop bit: 1 font: Tong-Shin-Yong terminal: vt100 setting of unix is stty pass8 (for SunOS) setenv PROFDIR (for using stevie, to avoid making gmon.out. This for SunOS) setenv LC_TYPE iso_8859_1 (for using vi in SunOS) setenv LANG jp.euc (for using vi in SysV4) (source: Kim Dae Shik, dskim@eng.umd.edu dkim@loony.uucp DAESHIK.KIM@sprintintl.sprint.com) Testing try follow in unix to see if setting is correct; telnet kids.kotel.co.kr login: kids name: guest Further Information for Hangul Try to get and read Hangul FAQ from ftp: cair.kaist.ac.kr (pub/Hangul/FAQ) ---> most recent one. garam.kreonet.re.kr (pub/HANGUL/hangul-faq.txt) Or, try telnet garam.kreonet.re.kr login: nic Maintainer of Hangul FAQ Choi Woo Hyung (uhhyung@kaist.ac.kr) Comment Of course, you can use TeleTalk to make connection but ** this is incorrect there seems no auto-dialing function in it. *** remember if you use other communication programs to connect you have to initialize the modem with TeleTalk's initializing command which is "at v1e1g0" *** No manual comes with, therefore try-and-error approach must be practiced. My exprience say not all the font work, I have used only Gothic 12, with that toggling is possible between hangul and english using "cap-lock". Also I have been using 3-bulshik and don't know the other. If you really want to post in hangul, you have to use Tongshin-font in Mac and transfer it in ascii mode to mainframe. Somehow input using Tongshin-font is not stable, so I do not recommand this for the time being. I use Kermit or other English communication program to make connection and to transfer files. Teletalk is used only to read Hangul. The Tab made by other programs looks like not recognized by TeleTalk. Beside, there are many rooms to be improved. Sometimes, when you start TeleTalk from the modified HangulTalk, it restarts without a warning message. It is a Bug. In such case, establish a connection with other communication program and quit the program without hangup and then start TeleTalk.
